About

Since 2002, I’ve hosted and run over 800+ weekly poker tournaments and cash games, most of them multi-table.

This website is for the private location invitation-only poker games that I host so that friends and neighbors can sign-up for upcoming games. I have never and will never take a rake or charge a fee to play. I’ve written to local law enforcement and have letters from law enforcement authorities validating that my games are legal. By being upfront and respectful of the local laws, I’ve been able to host fun, friendly, social, safe poker games for over 2 decades.

About Me and My Poker Experience

My name is Scott. I’ve been playing poker since 2000 and hosting legal home poker games and building custom poker tables since about 2002 in the states I’ve lived.

I started and ran the world’s largest DIY poker table building forum, “scottspokertable.com” with over 5,000 members until I shut it down in 2015 due to the overhead to maintain it. We shared how to build professional casino-grade poker tables, host legal home poker games, and reviewed poker products. The site had sponsors and advertisers and was a valuable resource for thousands of people in the poker community.

Between 2007-2014 I played in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas six times. I never cashed but finished near the top 10% several times very close to the money. The best I did was win $1,000 in a WSOP satellite tournament. I’m still on a quest to finish in the money in a WSOP event! I also played in the Southern California Poker Tour tournament in California and got close to the final tables and was on TV, but didn’t finish in the money.

My preferred game is mid-stakes Limit Hold’em cash games and my favorite game is the $15/30 Limit Hold’em cash game at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Other games I’ve played are $30/60 Limit Hold’em at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, $20/40 Limit Hold’em at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, $20/40 Limit Hold’em at the MGM National Harbor in Washington DC, and anything from $5/10 to $20/40 Limit Hold’em at other casinos and card rooms and home games.

In early 2000, WTTG Fox 5 News DC interviewed me and I got to talk publicly about my home poker games. My poker game had grown to over 40 players, friends and neighbors, several times a week on 3-4 tables and had gotten a lot of attention.Poker is a great equalizer. I’ve had everyone from Hollywood actors, to nationally syndicated radio talk-show personalities from the G. Gordon Liddy Show, to World Series of Poker (WSOP) champions and World Poker Tour (WPT) champions in my games. Several us from my games were even hired as contract poker dealers for a Google convention poker tournament in Hawaii that included guests like pop music celebrity MC Hammer. They are just like everyone else at the table; poker treats everyone the same. When we’re playing poker, we’re all just regular folks enjoying the game.
